Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Leaks & Early Hands-On Details
In this video, PeekTech shares the most reliable leaks about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, expected to launch in about four months. After the underwhelming Galaxy S25 Ultra, Samsung appears to be making meaningful upgrades to both design and hardware to compete directly with Apple’s bold iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a thinner and lighter profile, measuring just 7.9mm thick and weighing 217g, compared to the S25 Ultra’s 8.2mm and 233g. The corners are more curved, making it more elegant and comfortable to hold, while the frame will use titanium for a premium feel without imitating Apple. A redesigned rear camera island also improves the aesthetics, finally replacing the “floating rings” with a cleaner layout. The S Pen has been redesigned to fit seamlessly with the new curves.
On the camera side, Samsung retains its quad-camera system. The 200MP primary sensor is upgraded to a wider f/1.4 aperture, capturing 47% more light for sharper low-light photos and videos. The 5x telephoto lens improves to an f/2.9 aperture, while the ultra-wide camera remains at 50MP. However, the 3x telephoto, often used for portraits, is rumored to see a downgrade to a smaller 10MP sensor, which could disappoint some users.
The 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display continues to be a highlight, now powered by Samsung’s new M14 panel with COE technology, delivering higher brightness, improved color accuracy, and better power efficiency. Samsung is also adding a third-generation anti-reflection coating, keeping its lead over Apple’s iPhone 17 series in display performance.
